Biography

INTRODUCTION Alex Hairston brings broad experience to his litigation practice. Over the years, Alex has worked in various settings including a Family Law practice in his hometown and a Consumer Law practice in Madison, WI. Alex has worked on a wide spectrum of legal issues, including criminal, civil, and family law cases. His private practice includes cases ranging from complex civil litigation to child support and custody modifications. PHILOSOPHY Alex believes that his job is to resolve problems for his clients as efficiently and effectively as possible. Alex counsels his clients to understand their best outcome in any conflict and then sets about working to achieve their goals. To Alex, the needs of each client are unique and he takes as much time as is necessary to understand a client fully. By doing so, he can create solutions that serve his clients immediately and in the future. EDUCATION While attending the University of Wisconsin School of Law, Alex earned first-hand practical legal experience from practicing attorneys who spent years defending rights of the accused, rectifying consumer fraud, and providing low cost legal assistance to members of the community. Alex spent considerable time working in the capitol city of Wisconsin, first as a legal aid to state legislators and then as an assistant to the Honorable Michael J. Gableman of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, where he analyzed the state's most complex legal issues. During law school, Alex competed in moot court competitions, including a trip to New Orleans to compete in The National Baseball Arbitration Competition where he simulated a modeled Major League Baseball salary arbitration. Alex also served on the board of the Brigham Young University Alumni Association of Madison and Milwaukee. Before attending law school, Alex earned his bachelors degree in journalism from Brigham Young University.
