Diana Cohn, a partner at Cohn Slater, is a civil litigator and child advocate with extensive experience in family law and divorce cases. In honor of her service to Florida’s families, Cohn has received several of the state’s top family law accolades, including the Children’s Home Society of Florida Family Champion Award and the Excellence in Child Welfare Award. She was also named a Women of Distinction Award finalist by the Girl Scouts of the Florida Panhandle.While serving as Managing Attorney at Children’s Legal Services, Attorney Cohn led the active litigation and prosecution of several hundred legal cases each year. On behalf of the State of Florida, she represented the best interests of Florida’s children in Leon, Jefferson, Wakulla, Gadsden, Franklin, and Liberty counties, protecting their health and safety, and the integrity of families.Attorney Cohn developed Leon County’s Early Childhood Court program. She partnered with the judiciary, community partners and opposing counsel to expedite the timely resolution of ECC cases, crafting statewide best practices along the way.Prior to Children’s Legal Services, she represented clients in family law, civil law, and immigration cases at the Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Clinic (IPVAC). She worked collaboratively on family law issues with social workers, medical professionals, and community-based advocates. Cohn also served as judicial clerk of the Family Law Division in Florida’s Eighth Judicial Circuit, supporting the Honorable Judge Mary Day Coker in family law cases.
