Biography

Don has been representing businesses and entrepeneurs in the Chicago metropolitan area since beginning his practice in 1975. He has experience advising individuals on the formation of their businesses, and the legal issues involved in operation of their businesses. This includes the drafting of corporate business formation documents, buy-sell agreements, LLC operating agreements, partnership agreements, independent contractor agreements, employment contracts, and business agreements in a variety of contexts. He has served as general outside counsel to businesses in the travel industry, construction industry, manufacturing industry, medical industry, and many other types of service industries. He is a great resource for answers on your legal questions involved in the day-to-day running of your business. He has also handled the purchase and sale of small and medium sized businesses. He also has strong skills and experience in real estate transactions, both commercial, industrial and residential, having represented both sellers and purchasers in real estate transactions. Real estate contract drafting, keen negotiation and real estate closing documentation are part of his skill set. When business disputes arise for his clients, Don also possesses the skills of a seasoned commercial litigator, with bench trial and jury trial experience, as well as experience handling arbitrations. His experience also includes appellate litigation. In addition to the above, his services also include the drafting of wills and trusts for his clients, as well as trust and probate administration.
