Biography

The difference between a job and a career is passion. Not only I do have the skills to be a lawyer, but 30+ years tell me I was born to do the following jobs: Estate Planning (simple & sophisticated) Elder Law & Medicaid Planning Special Needs and Qualified Domestic Trusts VA Aid and Attendance Benefits Residential Real Estate Transactions Probate and Administration of Estates Fiduciary Litigation & Will Contests Personal Injury litigation Let me tell you why. First I have always enjoyed helping people. I find myself energized when I can help someone navigate the legal system. Second being a lawyer presents challenges. The thought of estate planning or Medicare/Medicaid planning or litigation is often intimidating to many individuals. I eliminate that intimidation by making the process as easy and painless as possible for my clients. Not only am I always up for that challenge but I also get a real thrill from successfully meeting that challenge. Third. I am a good listener. To effectively represents a client one has to listen carefully. Listening is the key to understanding a client’s needs. One learns more by listening than by talking. A thorough understanding of the client’s needs will ensure that their desired results are achieved. Fourth my passion for the law stems from the fact that I am doing socially redeeming work. I am helping people to plan out the rest of their lives. And lastly I enjoy teaching. One of my functions as an attorney is to educate. It is only by educating that I can effectively help my client. My passion for elder law is why I host and produce a program called Your Money Your Life in which I seek to educate Baby Boomers and their parents . Not only have I been given the opportunity to do a job I love, but I believe my passion for my work is evident not only in my dealings with clients but also on my tv program.
