Vyas, LLC, a general law firm specializing in patent law with a focus on construction law and contract law serving clients in Maryland and Washington, D.C. He has represented numerous contractors, builders, engineers, architects, and multinational corporations. Shortly after earning his Juris Doctor degree and license to practice law in Maryland, Suraj began working as in-house counsel for Rising Sun Engineering & Consulting in addition to opening up The Law Offices of Suraj Vyas, LLC. At Rising Sun, Mr. Vyas drafts, amends, and reviews contracts for construction projects. Q. What is the background to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)?A: A pro for DACA is that it is good for the economy. A con for DACA is that it encourages illegal immigration. In 2014, the Administrative Procedures Act was used to try to show DACA as being unconstitutional. Last year, DACA was ruled as unconstitutional, but DACA has remained in place while legal proceedings (like appeals) continue. DACA has not been fully revoked as of this time.April 3, 2019
