Mr. Labovitz attended law school at Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago, Illinois. After law school Mr. Labovitz was employed with a respected Chicago criminal defense firm. While employed at this firm he worked closely with several very experienced criminal defense attorneys. He gained valuable experience and exposure while running docket calls and second chairing trials in Chicago's criminal courtrooms. After leaving the criminal defense firm in Chicago Mr. Labovitz decided to come back to his home state of Missouri and work for the Missouri Public Defender's office. While employed as a public defender he was lead counsel on hundreds of criminal cases. He was able to gain invaluable experience such as arguing numerous motions of law, trial experience, working with prosecutors on a daily basis, and most importantly learning how to deal with clients and their needs. Mr. Labovitz practices in all areas of criminal defense and personal injury law in both state and federal court.
