Dorene Kuffer is the senior and principle attorney with over 34 years practicing all aspects of family law in New Mexico and Illinois.Dorene earned an LL.M. (an advanced law degree) in Child and Family Law from Loyola University, Chicago School of Law. In Illinois, Dorene handled cases ranging from traffic, misdemeanor, felony and death penalty cases, to divorce, custody, adoption, business litigation and contract disputes. She was also an adjunct professor at Loyola University teaching family law to graduate level students.In 2007, Dorene moved to New Mexico, where she is licensed to practice before the 10th District Court, the United States Supreme Court and the United States Tax Court as well as all magistrate, metropolitan and district courts in New Mexico.Dorene has litigated hundreds of cases to juries and before the courts. In the course of her career, she represented five individuals charged with offenses in which the prosecution sought the death penalty.
