Biography

Brad Davenport has experience representing clients in oil and gas litigation, the negotiation of master service agreements for pipeline construction and oil and gas industry companies, shareholder derivative litigation, and quiet title curative matters. Brad utilizes his expertise and sound judgment to advise clients and protect their interests in negotiating the purchase or sale of business assets, formation of corporations and limited liability companies, and reviewing and updating corporate documents and agreements. He also employs a combination of persistence and pragmatism to aid business clients in collecting outstanding accounts receivable.Representative Experience:Completed a multi-million dollar equity sale of an oilfield service corporation located in Blanchard, Oklahoma on behalf of the owners who had built and operated the company for 40+ years.Negotiated a favorable walkaway settlement in September 2021 for a pipeline construction company in an arbitration case regarding a breach of contract claim by a directional drilling subcontractor over a frac out resulting in surface and stream contamination and hundreds of thousands of dollars in cleanup costs in Eastern Oklahoma.Defended a New Mexico janitorial supply company in a breach of contract lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court, Western District of Oklahoma, winning summary judgment in February 2022 in favor of client regarding a jointly placed order of personal protective equipment that a foreign manufacturer failed to deliver.Negotiated and closed the transaction for an existing client’s acquisition of an electric utility and directional boring company in Guthrie, Oklahoma.Obtained summary judgment for out-of-state mineral owners in a quiet title and conversion lawsuit in the District Court of Cleveland County where a local company and its owner had clouded title to the clients’ inherited mineral interests and signed an oil and gas lease for their minerals.
